What I did on my vacation…

After completing my TEFL certification course in Guadalajara, I headed back to LA for two weeks to take care of business (by which I mean throw money into the Twin Pits). I had to make some changes to the guest house in order to rent it long-term: replace the undercounter mini-fridge with a full-size fridge; get a base cabinet made to replace the mini-fridge; and build a laundry hut under the deck to house a side-by-side washer/dryer to replace the stackable unit which used to be in the space now occupied by the fridge.

I thought this was a relatively small project that would leave me plenty of time to hang out with my boyfriend, see friends, and enjoy LA. It ended up monopolizing all my time and sucking up much more dinero than I had anticipated. Ain’t that always the way…?

However, it all got done and it looks pretty cool.
